Winter Camp: An Unforgettable Week of Adventure
Pack your gear and head to camp for one of Scouting’s most exciting annual traditions — Winter Camp! Held over Thanksgiving week, Winter Camp gives Scouts BSA troops the chance to dive deep into a full merit badge program, tackle new skills, and challenge themselves in a setting that goes far beyond the troop meeting room. With dozens of merit badge offerings across every interest — from Archery and Robotics to Cooking and Law — Scouts can build a schedule that reflects their passions and accelerates their advancement goals.
Something for Every Scout
Whether your troop is made up of seasoned campers or first-year Scouts just finding their footing, Winter Camp has a program for them. New Scouts thrive in our First-Year Camper Program, which guides beginners through foundational rank requirements in a supportive, patrol-based environment. Older and more experienced Scouts can pursue specialty programs, competitive shooting sports, hands-on technical badges, and certifications like Wilderness First Aid. Every evening brings a fresh round of camp-wide activities — from campfire ceremonies and friendly troop competitions to tournaments, socials, and more.

Winter Camp isn’t just for the Scouts — adult leaders have plenty to look forward to too. From leadership development opportunities and adult merit badge programs to the beloved Scoutmaster Cook-Off, leaders are woven into the fabric of the week. Our staff handles the programming so you can focus on what matters most: watching your Scouts grow.

Merit Badge Program
Chose from dozens of merit badge offerings across a wide range of interests — from shooting sports and robotics to cooking and citizenship — with classes running throughout the week to keep every Scout engaged and advancing. First-Year Camper Program
New Scouts get a welcoming introduction to camp life through our First-Year Camper Program, covering foundational rank requirements from Scout Rank to First Class, essential outdoor skills, and merit badges in a fun, patrol-based setting.
Evening Program & Activities
From campfire ceremonies and troop competitions to karaoke, movie nights, tournaments, and Order of the Arrow socials, every night at Winter Camp brings a new adventure that keeps the fun going long after the last merit badge class wraps up.
Adult & Leader Opportunities
Winter Camp is a full experience for leaders too — with adult merit badge programs, training certifications, the Scoutmaster Cook-Off, and the Ranger Corps, there's no shortage of ways to learn, serve, and connect. Check the Program Guide for your camp to see what is available for this year!

Please arrive at camp between 2pm-2:30pm. Check-in at the office before heading to your campsite. Programs will start at 3:00pm.
